Since the beginning of time, symbols are a whole language..

Secret one to most, and yet understood by more than you think.. In fact it is so much easier for us to get informations only by looking at a symbol rather than reading a whole paragraph.

Arrows show us the way, crossing lines show us the end of it.

Now let’s compine colours with symbols.

  • Red? It means danger, stop.
  • Green means go, it’s safe.

The combination is the logo.

Let me clarify.. what is the very meaning of a logo? Why do we need it? Is it a label?

Logo is a statement compressed into one word, a simple image.. a specific colour. A logo is the artist’s identity. In it’s every curve there’s a belief, in every line there’s self confidence and determination. In it’s letters there’s faith. The kind of faith that screams from the inside out so it can be heard and recognised.

Decaydead Dark Art logoMany people asked me what’s my logo about and what it stands for. Some come to the conclusion that is a butterfly, others say its a goat skull and very few have shared with me that is looks like scissors.

Now, it’s the right time to make Decaydead Dark Art logothis logo clear as glass as well as its purpose. I was once in a band, Albazer was the name and at some point we decided to change it to Decayded Senses.. I was so proud of myself because everyone loved it but when school was over, my friends left. I left.. but the name still reminds me of the most beautiful teenage years I could ever wish for so you see, I had to use it again just a bit different this time. It had to be darker, different.. the Decaydead nation was born on that moment. The combination of decay and death can represent perfectly me and my art. The font looks broken, in pieces but it is important for people to recognise the image.

After many tries, I decided to make something that is based on the 3 d’s in the name. So we have decay, dead and one in my name.. Dorian, that’s 4.

My butterfly symbol might seem demonic but the message that I want to pass is pure.

Why a butterfly Argus?

Something so delicate and fragile.. what does a butterfly have in common with your art? How can it represent such darkness? Butterflies are about transformation and change.. Butterfly’s life cycle teaches us patience, faith in our nature. We will never stay in one state in our life. There will be no moment quite like this one. We will never experience the same thing at the same timeline, same place and same people. There will always be something different. Accept and embrace your change and growth, be patience with yourself. The caterpillar doesn’t know that it is in her nature to change and become a butterfly. The difference is that the caterpillar has faith in her journey. She doesn’t need proof.

I have faith that my message will reach to those who will listen.

Decaydead Dark Art logoTransformation is essential in more ways that I could ever count. Death is just the extension of life and I, for one, honour it as much as I honour every day that I’m waking up. It’s just another part of our evolution. It’s a part of our revolution on my art and of the story I write with Revna. If we manage to touch just one soul through my art, we consider it a victory. You might be the one who will lead others to understand the deepest meanings of creation and life itself through this story. Our story. We need you to change and transform this world. We can do this, together. We have already started…

In 2021 I met my love, Revna and she changed my entire life and art perspective – story, so I changed also my logo to honour her (her name meaning is Raven) and show to my followers that everything evolve in life if you believe in yourself. Life is a mystery… never give up!

If you had a chance to leave your cell, would you use every single cell you got to grab it?

I know, I would. As a matter of fact, I did. I had to. You see, ‘normal’ can be something totally different for you than what it is to me. And that’s okay. No judgment. Neither you or I can be sure which one is right.. and why should we?

I only care if you’re happy.. Are you happy?

Does it get too much sometimes? I know it does. The pressure consumes you, anxiety is a serious enemy. Your overthinking must be killing you. Unless you’re not an overthinker and you’re just practical… right? Where does your practice keep getting you? Do you get the results you’re craving? I hope you do.

Are you comfortable enough in your skin? In your clothes? In your family? Does your house feel like home?

Don’t answer to me. I don’t need to hear it. You do. They say, be careful of what you’re thinking because it is that one step before action. What are you thinking.. I wonder. No worries.

I will keep this secret of yours if you keep mine… come closer…
